D’Italia Foods came to Fresco to design a packaging solution and create a logo and brand assets for their imported Italian Nougat (Torrone). They found that retailers were reluctant to stock the product in it’s traditional packaging which was tired and outdated and didn’t reflect the excellent quality of the product. After a period of research and strategy, we distilled our findings into a sophisticated, hand-drawn, quintessentially Italian logo and paired it with an eye-catching, contemporary box design. The brand assets were influenced by the folklore of the region in Calabria the Nougat is produced in and the various sub brands for the various flavours were developed using a simple but effective colour coding system which pops against the neutral black and white palette of the master brand.
