It might be time for a change of image, or you’re opening your company up to a new market or extending your product range. Whatever your challenge, you will need an agency that can help revitalise your brand with a new design that builds contemporary appeal into your original identity. The designers you choose to work with need to understand that the look of your business holds an established goodwill amongst your current audience, so you will need to develop brand strategies and aesthetics that maintain this initial trust.
Any decent design and branding agency worth their salt needs to heavily focus on research and strategy, and the beginning of a successful rebrand is in learning about your business. Often it’s not that your values or message has changed, but that your business is now facing a radically different market or that your stakeholders prefer to receive information in other ways. By understanding where you come from and where you need to go, a skilled design studio can identify the non-negotiable elements of your brand that must be carried across to form a fresh visual identity for a broader audience. After all a lot of investment has gone into your original brand.
Its a good idea to choose an agency that is accomplished and has a good track record in all forms of graphic design including printing, web design, media buying and advertising, That way a holistic support for your rebrand can be provided. This drops your costs and ensures an intelligent, concentrated roll-out of your new brand identity across every platform. Through combined printing and digital expertise, you will be able to leave confident that you have everything you need to clearly spread your message across whole new horizons for years to come with consistency.
I’d like to showcase a project Fresco Creative undertook a couple of years ago for The Department of Education to illustrates how we considered the original master brand and a springboard for our ideas when creating a new sub brand. We needed to ensure consistency and to build on the legacy of the master brand so that we didn’t disenfranchise their current audience.
Fresco Creative was enlisted by the Department of Education and Communities to design a logo for one of School Spectacular’s sister programs. The new initiative “SpecConnect” brings together five non -metropolitan schools and five metropolitan schools involved in the primary Schools Spectacular choir. The brand elements and assets from the Master brand “School Spectacular” were skillfully employed and crafted into the Spec Connect logo which needed to communicate its own unique set of attributes and positioning.
