Established by the NSW Government, the NSW Data Analytics Centre (DAC) is the first of its kind in Australia and is well on its way to becoming a world leader in using government data analytics and insights to design solutions for NSW’s complex community and policy challenges. Fresco was tasked with designing a website with a fresh, “start-up” feel that portrayed the vast array of essential civic applications of the data collected. Creative in appearance and bold in colour, the DAC now has a website that demonstrates how data collected by government agencies will be of benefit to communities in NSW and help with policy and decision-making. The website had to achieve AA accessibility certification which is intended to assist people with vision impairment and relates to image tagging, minimum point size and colour contrast.
